New York
City Trip

Times  Square.....

And so it begins.........

Times Square.....

Empire State Building

Macy's Department Store

Ground Zero.....

Rockefeller Centre.....

Central Park....

5th Avenue.....

Grand Central Station..

Harlem.....

Good Bye New York...

Our bus arrived in the City just in time for dinner hour!
We would come to find that each time the bus took us
into NYC, it would drop us off at the exact same spot
....46th & 8th Streets. Or better known as Restaurant Row!
Aptly named for the many, many restaurants that were located
on, or within a block of those streets.
It didn't take us long to figure out that Times Square
was only a couple blocks east of our drop off.
So, off Colleen and I went to explore!

Here's our first view of the infamous Times Square!

Did you know that each business in the Square is required by law
to have some sort of flashing/moving light in the store name?
I can't imagine what Las Vegas would look like after seeing just a
few blocks of NYC lit up this way.

This is looking South from the centre of Times Square!

Remember....EVERY light
you see in the picture is
moving or blinking.
It was amazing!

And.....this is looking North!

Just below this tower of moving, flashing billboards was The Olive Garden, where Colleen and I ate our first meal in the big city!

We had a very friendly waiter that night....something we would come to realize was few and far between.

Sad to say, it was very noticeable how grumpy most of the sales clerks and wait staff were.
