This was a
twig arch that I took a course to make. Unfortunately, after 5 or 6
years in this spot, the weather took it's toll and it collapsed one
winter. This
picture was fairly early in the season, as the Jackmanii Clematis
that's planted beside the arch would just cover the whole thing in
purple.

This is my
replacement for the twig arch. I didn't want to dig close to the
clematis roots, so I didn't bother putting a wooden arch back in the
same place. These metal arches are just stuck into the ground. |
