While
taking a drive, did you notice that vehicle that came flying out of
nowhere, weaves it's way in and out of traffic and races on ahead of
you? Have you ever wondered
where they are rushing to in such a hurry? Have you ever wanted to
follow them just to see what the big hurry is?
While
shopping at the store for that new pair of shoes, did you notice that
person come into your aisle almost running, grab what they wanted from
the shelf and then turn and leave just as quickly?
I've always wondered if that one item that they grabbed had a ten
second sale I didn't know about. I've
even caught myself looking for some sort of flashing light to indicate
an in-store sale.
My
husband and I love to take evening strolls.
Often when we are out taking our walks, other people pass us at
such a fast pace. I know they must prefer power walking because it's
suppose to be much better for you.
So
many people in a race to the finish.
I just wonder where that finish like is.
Is it before or after that beautiful flower garden I take the
time to admire? I know whoever planted it loves the fact that I always
stop to admire their hard work. Or
is it after the park I love to watch the children laughing and playing?
There is nothing like watching children playing to brighten up a
day.
Next
time you are out, stop and
think of that never ending race to the finish,
wherever you may be. Is
it worth missing all the scenery? Now that fall is here,
the leaves are changing and look so beautiful.
Isn't it worth taking the extra few minutes to enjoy the leaves
before they are all gone? Soon
all that will be left is bare trees that aren't very appealing to the
eye. The old cliche
"Stop and smell the roses"
really applies to your everyday.
