|
Why:
|
The Sudbury Earth Day Festival Committee was formed
because the group felt there was not enough taking place in the City of
Greater Sudbury
to raise awareness of current environmental challenges on Earth Day.
Earth Day is one day out of the year where we can commit ourselves
to local environmental achievements and initiatives.
The committee wants to empower and encourage the
local community to focus on environmental issues and take action by
implementing sustainable values and solutions not only on Earth Day but
also on an everyday basis.
|
Why
participate:
|
Not only is it a great opportunity for local
businesses and NGOs to generate publicity, business and network but it
also inspires others in the City of Greater Sudbury into positive action.
